After a long pandemic time, the Autumn welcomed us with a lot of industry events- trade fairs, symposia, and conferences. Some of them, like IAA or INNOTRANS returned to the world arena after four years. All the more, we took part in these events with great interest. A long break resulted in numerous news and premieres. This was also the case with Continental. During the IAA, our partner presented a number of new products, which we present in this issue. These novelties will certainly interest both tachograph users and tachograph service workshops. We took part in the MSPO trade fair in Kielce for the 13th time. This year's event was unique - 30th edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition. Thus, we were very pleased to celebrate this round jubilee together.
We also encourage all aircraft users and operators to familiarize with the possibility of upgrading the Garmin G1000 system to the G1000 NXi. Such modernizations are provided by our Part 145 team at the Aviation Service Center in Modlin.

After almost two years of pandemic, we hoped that our lives would get back to normal. Unfortunately, the outbreak of war in Ukraine made these plans impossible. The war put us in a completely different reality. As a nation, we have risen to the challenge by engaging in providing great help to the refugees from Ukraine. Also, our team was not indifferent to the suffering of others. We immediately started collecting essential items. We continue to support various humanitarian actions for Ukraine. In these difficult times we also try to meet the needs of our customers. The current situation in the world has severely limited the possibilities of purchasing new GA aircraft. A noticeable tendency is the purchase of second hand airplanes, which requires not only interior refreshment, but most of all modernization of avionics equipment in order to meet the necessary requirements in force in the civil aviation. Our PART-21 and PART-145 Departments provide all necessary assistance.

Three years after the last edition, the long-awaited Transexpo fair in Kielce has finally returned. We took part in the event as an exhibitor and presented three premiere solutions at our stand. One of them was the ProViu II system, which has received a distinction at Targi Kielce in the „Bus Parts and Equipment” category. During Transexpo we also presented an inhouse solution developed by our Research & Development Department called the Power Distribution Unit (PDU) – a power distribution device designed for controlling the power supply in electric and hybrid powertrain systems, both in buses and trucks. In this issue we provide more information on the above solutions, as well as other new products and services in our offer. The last quarter of 2021 brought a lot of news in the aviation industry. Many of them were presented at the November AEA European Convention in Cologne. The participation in a meeting of specialists from the aviation industry after the pandemic was a great pleasure to us.

With still valid sanitary restrictions, after months of stagnation, we were pleased to return to the domestic trade fairs - MSPO in Kielce and Trako in Gdańsk. During the first event, we presented our offer for land forces and air forces. In Gdańsk, together with our German partner - Konvekta, we promoted HVAC systems for railway vehicles. In recent months, we have also been working intensively with PIMOT. Our cooperation has resulted in the implementation of two interesting projects, which we cover extensively in this edition. In the Avionics Dept. we decided to focused mainly on the promotion of L3 Harris aerial observation systems. At this year's MSPO, the visitors could see cameras of this Canadian manufacturer installed, among others, in an unmanned rotorcraft. We encourage you also to get familiar with the new Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP) – a maintenance programme, that offers full coverage for your Honeywell avionics.

The pandemic made us face some constraints and thus some challenges. One of them was remote cooperation between our Research & Development Department and vehicle manufacturers. In this difficult time, together with vehicle manufacturers, we have prepared and implemented a number of new projects, as well as we have managed to validate and update the previous ones. In just a few months, we have remotely developed and implemented software solutions, based on wide KIBES5 capability, for a Turkish vehicle manufacturer – Karsan. The team of Karsan engineers was also remotely trained. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the end of spring and beginning of summer are busy times for our Part-145 Service Organisation and Part-21 Design Office. We make another avionics upgrades. We have noticed that a growing number of civil aircraft users in Poland decides to replace old avionics equipment with modern one. This is in fact a steady trend. And there's nothing to be surprised at.

The pandemic year is upon us. We all hope that the worst is over and that this year we will return to the pre-pandemic normality. Looking forward to this time, we conduct our activities following all sanitary restrictions. We are all the more glad that in this difficult time we managed to implement several important projects in the field of electromobility. We were glad to participate in creating the new, Polish electric bus – Pilea – as well as a test bench with Dana/TM4 powertrain system. We have also been invited to cooperate in the frames of Polski E-Van programme. Despite many fears, the pandemic time did not stop the activities of our PART 145/PART 21 Organizations. Many aircraft owners used this period to modernize avionics in their aircraft. We have therefore completed a number of interesting modernization projects in recent months. These include the modification of the avionics in the Beechcraft King Air aircraft, which came back to us after a one-year break to modernize another avionics systems.

Probably all of us say goodbye to 2020 with relief. We will certainly remember it as a time of pandemic fight, of sanitary restrictions and of the daily difficulties that we all had to face. For companies in almost all sectors, the past year was extremely difficult and left its mark on their operations for years to come. Our company, like many others, was forced to react quickly to the new reality. The pandemic has forced us to introduce new forms of sales, such as via the internet and online trainings. In the previous year, the pandemic has left its mark on the aviation market, especially the international one. BA and GA were affected to a lesser degree. Many aircraft owners used this pandemic time to upgrade the avionics on their aircraft. Our Design Office and PART145 Service Organization were busy. In recent months, they have completed several interesting avionics modernization projects on Cessna aircraft. One of them is widely described in this issue.

We are slowly getting used to living and leading business in pandemic times. Our company has also incorporated further restrictions and sanitary regimes so that we can effectively – and in good health – continue our operation on the market. This year's Autumn is undoubtedly different than any other. So far, this time of year was for us and most companies in our industry a time of extraordinary intensity of trade fairs, both in Poland and abroad. Unfortunately, the pandemic forced us to withdraw from several events, many of which did not take place at all. For the first time for many years, we did not participate as an exhibitor in MSPO in Kielce. The pandemic has stamped its influence also on the aviation world. We mainly mean the organization of various trade fairs and industry events. For obvious reasons, we did not participate at this year's MSPO in Kielce or at the Arms & Security trade fairs in Kiev, where we promoted our solutions dedicated to the aviation industry every year. Instead, we focused on the services provided by the Part 145 Service Organization, among others, in the field of avionics modernization.

We are slowly go back to normal. Another restrictions are lifted, borders are opened, many of us are already acting as if the pandemic is over for good. Unfortunately it continues. We will feel its effects for many months. One of the industries most affected by the pandemic is the transport industry. We can find out how Polish carriers are struggling with the effects of the pandemic by reading an interview with Mr. Piotr Mikiel - Director of Transport Department ZMPD. Also the national public transport had to face a big challenge. We talked to Ms Dorota Kacprzyk, President of IGKM about this. After several months of an ongoing pandemic, we have noticed that the aviation market for both BA and GA is doing well in the new reality. Many pilots ceased flights, and companies whose aircraft fleets have been grounded could spend this time on modernization of avionics in their aircraft. Another busy year is behind us. It brought us many new challenges and opened new opprortunities. We managed to finalize a cooperation agreement with the American corporation, Curtiss-Wright. We have also expanded our offer by comprehensive services related to the manufacturing of products on a 3D printer. Certainly, the most imortant was obtaining the right to conduct trainings for operators of MX turrets (L3 Harris). We hope that the upcoming year will bring us a lot of challenges and interesting projects.

At this year's MSPO, in which we have been participating for 11 years, we presented a comprehensive offer for both combat vehicles and soldiers. As we promised in the previous issue, we present our new business partner - Curtiss-Wright. Avionics Department could not complain about boredom this summer. After several months of mutual talks, we signed agreements on mutual cooperation with two leaders on the global aviation market - GoGo Business Aviation and Bet Shemesh Engines LTD. This is second edition of our quarterly newsletter in the new version, which – as we hope – you like. Like every year in Spring, we activelly took part in numerous trade fairs, symposiums and conferences. Many of them have become a permanent part of our exhibition calendar, but there were also events on which we debuted this year, like a conference organized by the Polish Chamber of Rilway Equipment Producers and Railway Service Providers, which we had the pleasure to join. At the same time, there was a large number of foreign trade fairs that we could not miss. The end of 2018 was quite intense for us, but this is usually the case when closing the previous period. There were lots of reasons to be satisfied and proud. Our participation in the Transexpo trade fairs in Kielce has been a success. Once again, we received a trade fair medal (Medal Targów Kielce), this time for the TM 4 powertrain system for electric city buses.A day before trade fair we were pleased to celebrate, with representatives of bus market, our „small” jubilee of the 35th anniversary of activity on the Automotive market. Certainly, the next one – 40th anniversary – will be held with great fanfare.

After quite a peaceful holiday season we started an intensive period of trade fair, symposia and conferences. September brought us three important trade fair events, including MSPO in Kielce, where we were present as exhibitors for the 10th time.During that period we also managed to carry out several important projects, both in automotive and avionics department. We are proud of avionics modernization in ZLIN 242L aircraft for Grupa Akrobacyjna Żelazny (aerobatics group) or Cessna 152 aircraft for Polski Aeroklub (Polish Aero Club)

The first of them is a solution, developed in cooperation with Autosan company, which allows for replacing a standard driver’s desk with a new MultiView Professional display, on a Plug and Play basis. The second our project/solution - TPMS_TELEMATICS allows for integration of tire pressure and temperature monitoring system with telematics systems. This solution has been applied by ANWIM S.A. company, in which we have had a pleasure to host recently.

The end of 2017 was very busy for our company. After months of negotiations, we signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Canadian company TM4 and German company – ATG. Thus, our portfolio has been enriched by powertrain systems for buses and electric vehicles as well as articulations and gangway systems. In autumn we had our debut as an exhibitor at the Busworld Europe 2017 in Kortrijk, Belgium. We presented for the first time our own project - FAPsafety+, which is widely described in this issue. Many new products appeared in our offer - both in the avionics and avionics departments. Certainly, there will be plenty of them in 2018.

This is the last issue of our newsletter in 2016. This is also a good moment for reflection and summary of what has happened, what have been the successes and failures?The passing year was very successful for our company. We have managed to develop a few big, significant projects, such as modernization of the KGP helicopter, which we led together with our new partner, Helisota company, or providing our on-board electronics for the first Funter vehicle. We can not say that we lacked successes – one of them was the Medal of Kielce Trade Fairs for the modern driver’s workplace, mFAP.

Last year we established the first few certified service partner workshops dealing with Alcolock system and we increased (to 68 workshops) the number of certified CPC service centers.

However, we did not manage to complete all issues. But, we will not write about them. The end of summer and beginning of autumn is a very intense trade fair time. Long awaited Kielce trade show MSPO brought many premieres and important meetings. We also had some new projects and solutions on our stand. Shortly after Kielce event we went to Germany to participate in Innotrans trade fair in Berlin and the IAA in Hanover. On the trade fair stands of our partners - Continental, Konvekta and Molpir - we hosted domestic customers. At this year's IAA we were very pleased to take part in an unusual event – Solaris Urbino 12 electric was awarded with the title Bus of the Year 2017. We were all the more pleased that the bus was equipped with solutions offered by our company.

On 1st September our company became a member of the Federal Association Bundesfachgruppe Schwertransporte und Kranarbeiten (BSK) e.V. headquartered in Frankfurt am Main.

Autumn is also an announcement of new products, which will soon appear in our offer. The new alcohol interlock is a solution which has been long-awaited by the market. Also, pilots should not feel disappointed. GARMIN avionics novelties will certainly satisfy their needs.

We give in your hands a new edition of our spring/summer newsletter. We hope that all readers will positively receive our altered design. Last months we traveled near and far to take part in various trade fairs, symposiums and conferences.In our newsletter you will find information concerning our new projects, including Pro Viu system installed in the fire engine which belongs to Szczęśniak company, Hitachi loader equipped with Loadtronic 3, or the innovative PIMOT construction - FUNTER vehicle - with our on-board electronics. We have visited a few foreign trade fairs, e.g. in Germany and Czech Republic; we were at symposiums in Spain and Slovakia. Traditionally we participated in the annual AEA Convention in the USA.

In March we made our debut at Warsaw Bus Expo, presenting a comprehensive offer dedicated to the bus market. The strong point of our presentation was a lecture on driver’s workplace ergonomics as a condition of public transport security, which was given at a special conference.We began this year with a lot of news in the automotive and avionics departments. Due to cooperation established with CradlePoint company, we expanded our offer with remotely managed, mobile LTE routers. Also for this year, our partner, Garmin, has prepared several significant innovations in the field of avionics, which characterize with multitude of functions and new unique properties.

The ProViu system in the garbage trucks

The around vehicle preview system ProViu ASL 360 gains recognition among garbage collection services.

In the previous edition of DN we wrote about our cooperation with Ekocel company and the first ProViu system installed on a garbage truck which belongs to this company. In vehicles of this type camera system has two tasks. It not only improves security of refuse collectors and other people while driving and loading garbage, but it also simplifies administration of complaints, because the camera records the status and access to the collection site.

Another 33rd year of our activity on the market is behind us. Traditionally, the end of year is the time for summary, calculations and making plans for the future. In this issue, we give a lot of attention to our partner – Konvekta company, which invited us to its stands at the trade fairs in Kortrijk and Hanover. Worthy of note is a new series of air conditioners - Ultra Light II, and in particular UL 500, which is the optimal solution for public transport buses.

In the majority of public transport vehicles, air conditioning is a part of the standard equipment, what provides the passengers with comfort and guarantees optimal working conditions for the driver.

Beautiful warm summer is behind us. In spite of the heat, we did not rest on our laurels. During summer time we were finalizing our long-lasting, innovative project under the working title of: "Panas Project".In this DN we present novelties concerning our projects, products, and new customers. We describe widely our solutions dedicated to rail vehicles, which we exhibited at this year's TRAKO Trade Fair. Aviation enthusiasts can read an extensive article on ADS-B system, which soon should be available in all new aircrafts sold and registered in Europe.

PANAS PROJECT

Innovative Project for oversize transportation, the first one of this type in Europe, was developed in our company ,by our Development & Support Department based on consultation with Panas Transport staff. From its beginning “Panas Project” went beyond any framework. Number of wheels and axles in advance cancel a bootstrap application of the standard CPC set. Change of trailers and lack of differences between their front and back required automatic identification of the trailers and wheels by a computer.

Our company shows the difference between the seller and value-added reseller. We have worked on this project for several months.

At the beginning of the year we can observe a kind of stagnation, time to wait what market will bring us. An important, long-awaited for everyone is updating of the law, which would help to fight against drunk drivers. New regulations concerning installation of alcohol interlocks in cars of people convicted of drunk driving. We hope that this solution will reduce the number of accidents on Polish roads with the participation of drunk drivers. Since last year our company has been offering alcohol interlock systems, and now we build a network of authorized service stations dealing with installation and operation of the Alcolock V3 system.

Drunk?- don’t drive!

Professional alcohol interlock systems ACS/ ALCOLOCK. Stop for drunk drivers –this motto is repeated for many people from different backgrounds. Unfortunately according to police statistics, there is still community's acceptance of drunk driving. Actions taken so far slightly improved the situation but did not solve the problem.

Moreover we are pleased to announce that "Mobilny Drabpol" set off – such form of offer presentation met with positive opinions among our clients. We also write a lot about novelties in Marina Departament– saling season approaches, this solutions described in this DN would be interesting both for manufacturers of yachts and all sailors.

For sure we can say that the past year was successful. We managed to appoint more than 30 authorized service stations of ContiPressureCheck, and the system itself was installed in the first Polish vehicles. What is more we can also talk about the first applications of ProViu ASL 360 (around the vehicle preview system).We are pleased to announce that USB charger, which we described in the last DN has been successfully used in buses of MPK Wrocław and TP BUS. There will be next news- this time in the aviation department. Leading manufacturers of avionics- Garmin, Rockwell Collins, Honeywell and Universal once again define trends in the sector for the coming years.

In the last few months we had plenty of novelties in our company, not only connected with products. Worth noticing is our new multifunctional display MVP, installed on Solaris Urbino 18 bus. Moreover, on this bus there are available USB chargers – new Molpír solution dedicated to passengers traveling by public transport. In this edition of our newsletter you can find a lot of news and facts from telematics department; we encourage you to get familiar with them. Premiere at the IAA

At IAA we presented for the first time our most recent driver’s workplace - FAP mDWP with a new, more colorful and having a higher resolution MVP 12 display.

Every year at the beginning of autum we actively participate in the largest national and international trade fairs. Starting from International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, through Automechanika in Frankfurt and Innotrans in Berlin and ending at IAA in Hanover. This year, we went on the IAA in Hanover together journalists representing leading Polish trade magazines, websites, and TV stations. Together we had a unique journey through the presentation stands of our business partners, full of important and long-awaited product premieres. Our second, this year's DN is dominated by security issues. We encourage everyone to get familiar with the project "Safe Bus", and to read opinions on how to use the systems. There are of course product novelties – it is worth to pay attention to Alcolock system, a new refrigerating unit or news concerning CPC system. Realizing the seriousness of the case, which is important to all of us, in our newsletter we present an appeal of ProEuro coalition campaigning for speeding up Poland’s entry to the euro zone, which was addressed to the government and parliament, as well as to the media. It’s worth to look at its content.

Safe Bus

The aim of "Safe Bus" project is primarily increasing road safety, i.e. providing it to the driver, passengers and other road users.

Spring in our company, as usual, was very active. During spring time there is a lot of national and international trade fairs, conferences and symposia in which we participate. We also had quite successful trade fairs debuts. But first of all, in the spring we set off our "Safe Bus" project, the purpose of which is to increase road safety providing it to the driver, passengers and other road users. Topics related to the promotion of safety has been present in our activity from the very beginning. Confirmation of our operations in this field is a honorable title of "A Friend in partner service to ensure road safety”, which was awarded to President Pawel Drabczynski.

In our first DN in 2014, we describe a lot of novelties. At the beginning of the year we introduced a new service into our offer– "4 safe" – which certainly would be appreciated by fleet managers. Everything you want to know about our new service called “4-safe” can be found in the main topic section. We also encourage you to read an interview, with the Mayor of Strzelce Opolskie Community, concerning stolen machine. Fortunately the vehicle has been found, and we contributed to this. Worth noticing are also product presentations, which accompanied this year's AEA convention, in which we traditionally attended.

"4safe" service – downloading and storage of data

Due to "4safe" service, on behalf of our customer, we assume the obligation of downloading data from digital tachographs and driver’s tachograph cards- starting from archiving, through analysis to preparing reports.

The first quarter of this year is behind us, at last we have long-awaited spring, though we must admit that this year's winter was kind for us. At the beginning of the year in our company we have two large projects. The first one is related to the appointment all over the Poland service stations dealing with installation and operation of the pressure and temperature in the tires control system (CPC). There have been trainings for the first service centers which received authorization certificates in this regard. The second major project is associated with promotion of the idea of safe bus / vehicle, eg. through test installation of ProViu 360 cameras 360. These are new challenges for us, we will keep you informed about the next stages of their implementation in the next Drabpol News.
